Pixel Tag vs AirTag 2

The compatibility split

Pixel Tag uses Google Find Hub and pairs with Android 9 or later. AirTag 2 uses Apple Find My and requires current Apple software. Neither is a cross-platform tracker.

Precision finding

Both include UWB, but the phone still matters.

• Pixel Tag UWB needs a UWB-enabled Android phone.
• Pixel Tag Channel Sounding additionally needs Android 16 and supported Bluetooth 6 hardware.
• AirTag 2 improved Precision Finding requires iPhone 15 or later, excluding iPhone 16e.

Shape, battery and daily use

Pixel Tag is thinner and includes reverse phone finding. AirTag 2 is a round disc with NFC Lost Mode. Both require a separate accessory for easy keychain attachment.
