Every recommendation begins with a hard compatibility gate. Preference scoring happens only after a tracker can pair with the selected phone.

The engine evaluates operating system, finding network and brand restrictions first. It then checks UWB and Bluetooth Channel Sounding separately, because basic tracking can work even when advanced nearby finding does not.
Recommendation score
Compatible products receive additional weight for the selected use case and priority: precision, battery, price, network coverage or simplicity. An incompatible product always scores zero regardless of price or popularity.
Specification sources
The current product records cite Apple Support, Motorola, Samsung, Chipolo, Pebblebee and launch reporting for Pixel Tag. Each product card links to the record used and shows its verification date.
Known limits
Regional phone hardware, software rollouts and retailer inventory can differ. Unknown or unconfirmed fields remain labelled instead of being filled with an assumption.
