Will Pixel Tag work with your phone?
Basic pairing, UWB and Bluetooth Channel Sounding have different requirements. Check them separately before you buy.

Start with basic Find Hub support
A compatible Android phone needs Android 9 or later, Bluetooth, location services, internet access and an eligible Google account. This is the baseline for pairing, viewing the tag on a map and making it ring.
The country selector matters because Find Hub availability and product distribution are not identical in every market. A technically compatible phone does not guarantee that Pixel Tag is sold locally.
Check UWB separately
UWB adds direction and distance when the tracker is nearby. Android's UWB platform requires Android 12 or later, and the phone must contain enabled UWB hardware. The model name alone is not enough because regional variants and software policies can differ.
The checker marks UWB unavailable rather than guessing when a phone is not explicitly verified. That conservative answer is more useful than promising a feature the user may not receive.
Channel Sounding is the narrowest tier
Bluetooth 6 on a marketing page does not automatically prove Channel Sounding support. The phone needs Android 16 and a manufacturer implementation that exposes the feature to the tracker.
At launch, the supported set is smaller than the general Android 9 compatibility set. Users with an unlisted phone should assume basic finding only until their exact model receives a verified source.
How to use the recommendation
Choose the exact phone, installed software, shopping region and intended object. The result explains what works, what remains limited and the evidence source for both tracker and phone.
Copying the result link preserves those choices. It is useful when asking another household member to confirm a purchase or when reporting a data correction.
What the tool does not claim
The checker does not measure real-world crowd-network speed, speaker loudness or battery endurance. Those require retail hardware and repeatable testing after Pixel Tag ships.
A tracker recommendation is not a safety guarantee. Bluetooth item trackers are not live GPS devices for people or pets, and they should not replace purpose-built safety equipment.
Questions people ask before buying
Does every Android 9 phone get precision finding?
No. Android 9 is the basic pairing floor. UWB and Channel Sounding have newer software and hardware requirements.
Why is my phone listed as basic support only?
The exact model lacks a verified UWB or Channel Sounding source. The checker avoids inferring advanced features from the brand name.
Can I share my result?
