Pixel Tag vs Galaxy SmartTag2

The deciding factor is whether you want broad Android support or a Galaxy-only experience.

Phone support

Pixel Tag works through Google Find Hub on Android 9+. SmartTag2 requires a Galaxy phone or tablet and uses Samsung SmartThings Find.

Both offer UWB on supported phones. Pixel Tag can also use Bluetooth Channel Sounding on eligible Android 16 Bluetooth 6 hardware.

SmartTag2 includes a reinforced attachment loop and claims up to 500 days of battery. Pixel Tag is notably thinner but needs a holder for keys.
